The open protocol not only allows a transparent selection of the system supplier, supports project planners and system integrators in the simple technical connection of components and plants, but also allows the energy plant operator to freely select both the suitable operator of a virtual power plant for connection and the suitable marketer for his generated or consumed energy.

The operators of decentral energy systems - but also the project offices and system integrators commissioned by them - face various challenges when it comes to the selection and IT connection of an energy system to a marketer. The different - mostly proprietary - systems of various providers on the market make it difficult to select the "right" solution. It should not only be noted that the technical connection of the energy system is possible without errors, it should also be able to take place quickly and without great expenditure of time. Last but not least, the connection/solution must of course also be "future-proof", i.e. it must allow the operator to freely choose his energy marketer and - if desired - to be able to simply change him if required. The standardized protocol VHPready not only makes the market of the solution provider transparent, but also simplifies the technical integration of decent energy units into a system immensely.
